About Us/Performances
Donna D’Angelo,.Tom Tyburczy and Carl Roldan love to sing! When they got together and sang harmonies as a quartet, they realized that they had a unique sound and wanted to share this sound with everyone.
They each had their own bands and singing groups as young adults. Little did they know that one day they would all move to Staten Island, NY, meet and join forces to form a vocal harmony group called “The Dreamers”.
Donna was born and raised in Staten Island. Having an interest in music and singing from a young age, she was in various original and cover bands starting as a teenager. She was in the pop cover band, "No Pesos" and subsequently in an all-girl vocal harmony group, "The Revlons". She was in the oldies cover band, "New York Bandstand" for several years. She has performed as vocalist and keyboard player in several jazz combos. She has written and recorded original songs as well. She has been the female voice of the harmony group, "Afterglow" and has been with "The Dreamers" since the group's inception

Tom was born and raised in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. At a very young age, Tom sang with harmony groups in the subway and anywhere that they could find an echo. He started playing the drums and worked professionally with many groups performing at clubs, weddings and special events. Tom developed a soothing harmony voice while performing with “Just Four” “Sandy and Tom” and “The Main Feature”. These groups performed at practically every club in the Metropolitan area including The Copacabana. Tom formed his own group called ”The Russell Thomas Orchestra” with his wife Susan and performed as lead singer and MC at over 3000 parties. During this time, Tom had a successful career as an academic administrator including stints as VP for Administration at Hunter College and The College of Staten Island. Tom has performed at all of the South Shore Rotary shows where he met Ralph and Carl. Together with Donna, they now perform as “The Dreamers” delighting audiences everywhere. Tom lives in Staten Island with his wife Susan.
Carl was born in Brooklyn. He started playing guitar at the age of fourteen. At sixteen Carl and his friends formed a band called The Vampires. He formed another group called The Projections Five. He continued playing until he was drafted into the Army. He was employed by the New York City Transit Authority as Director of Finance and Administration. Music took a backseat to job and family obligations until he was prompted to pick up his guitar again when asked to play for his church and Mt. Manresa, currently playing at Holy Family Church, SI NY. He also sings with another vocal group called 'Memories'. In addition, he DJs and is now proud to be part of this vocal harmony group "The Dreamers".
